A Page Designer in a newspaper company is responsible for creating visually appealing and reader-friendly page layouts that effectively present news stories, features, and advertisements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Layout and Design: Design the layout of news, feature, and editorial pages, ensuring visual balance, readability, and consistency with the publication’s style.
2. Collaboration with Editors and Journalists: Work closely with editors, journalists, and photographers to select the best images and design elements to enhance storytelling.
3. Typography and Graphic Design: Use typography, graphics, and other design elements to emphasize headlines, quotes, and important information.
4. Adherence to Deadlines: Work under tight deadlines to ensure pages are completed and ready for print or digital publication on schedule.
5. Image Editing: Adjust, crop, and resize photos for optimal print or digital quality.
6. Adaptation for Multiple Platforms: Adapt page designs for both print and digital formats, ensuring a smooth transition for online publication.
7. Quality Control: Ensure all pages are free from errors, checking for consistency in style, formatting, and alignment.

Skills required: A successful page designer should be creative, detail-oriented, and have strong time-management skills, with proficiency in design software like Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
